Look over my portfolio of websites or find any website on the internet that you might want your website to look like, then send me a link to that website. Many of the websites I design use "shared boarders." I recommend using shared boarders," which basically is having your logo and a row of 4 to 8 buttons that stays at the top of every page of your website. These buttons are links to each of your website's pages. You may want to advise as to the layout of each of your pages or leave it up to me, based on the materials sent, to use a design I think will work. We can always make changes at anytime. 2) Buttons. You will want to choose several buttons that will link to
additional pages or information you want to share with your web visitor. The
link below (to Web Alley) will offer you many styles of buttons on this "free
website templates" page. We won't be using the template, but only use the
buttons. Click on any of the 37 designs listed on that page. After you choose
your button design, send me the name of that design and the text that will
appear on each of those buttons. I will make them for you, then install them
in the websites top boarder. Examples of button text: Home (which takes
the visitor back to the main page), Products, Services, Gallery, About Us,
Contact Us or whatever else may apply. 3) Page Titles You need to choose a page title for your website. What fees you will incur: In addition to the web design fees, there are other costs associated with hosting a web page. These fees are also reasonable and still allow the Internet to be an effective low-cost advertising tool for yourself or your business. Domain name registration --> On average, $10 per year (some registrars, like Network Solutions charge as much as $35 a year - avoid Network Solutions as they will hold your domain hostage and make it near impossible to move your domain to another less expensive domain seller). You can buy domains for as low as $3 per year, then transfer your domain name servers (dns) to my account or to your Host Gator account (if you opt for your own hosting plan). It is not recommended that you buy a domain from any domain seller or webmaster where you don't have full ownership and control of your domain. More on domain names - click here! Web hosting (does not apply to the $50 special as web hosting is included free in this special). Web hosting refers to the server where your web page is stored. I use the most reliable web hosting provider using the best quality, most dependable servers. Your site will be up and running 99.9% of the time. They are also very inexpensive only charging you $4.95 to $7.95 a month for unlimited disc space and band width (that is far more than enough space for most websites - more space is available if needed). They also exceed all other basic requirements (a detailed list of web features and services, technical information available). Web hosting fees ----------> $ 4.95 (1 domain) to $7.95 (unlimited domains) per month for unlimited disc space and unlimited bandwidth. ****** More On Hosting Plans******* Optional or if needed: Web page changes or updates > $15 per page.. Sometimes changes or regular updating is necessary. Sometimes you need to add one or more pages to your site. If you only need minor changes to your existing pages (new hours, changes in phone numbers, email addresses, etc) I don't charge you at all. Not into the nickel and dime game. Web design/Front Page tutoring > $20 per hour* ( * $20 per hour based on 2 hour minimum. Additional hours that same day are $15 per hour). Digital Photography (click here for more details)
